How Every Visit Works

Every visit to Bezel Crown follows the same structure regardless of which service has been arranged. The owner arrives with the watch. The technician reviews the piece under magnification before anything is opened or removed. If the scope of the service may not address what the owner has described, that is discussed before work begins.

Documentation starts before case opening. The watch is photographed in received condition. Any prior damage, scratching, or crystal chips are noted. This protects both the owner and the technician from disputes about pre-existing condition.

At the end of the appointment, the owner receives a verbal summary and a written note. The written note is theirs to keep. A copy is retained at the workshop for reference if the owner returns.

Pre-Travel Watch Check

A brief bench appointment for owners about to travel who would like a considered once-over of the timepiece they plan to wear. The technician inspects the crown and pushers, checks the strap or bracelet pins, runs a timing trace, and listens to the rate by ear. Any minor concerns the owner raises are addressed during the appointment. Includes an exterior clean and a recommendation note on whether deeper service should be scheduled after travel.

Service 02

Vintage Movement Assessment

A thorough examination for mid-twentieth-century mechanical movements where the owner is unsure whether the piece is worth servicing. The technician carefully opens the case, photographs the movement, identifies the caliber and year range, notes any non-original parts, checks the running condition, and prepares a written summary with options. Where service is inadvisable due to parts scarcity, the technician will say so plainly and discuss preservation as an alternative. The summary is the owner's to keep.

Service 03

Heritage Bracelet Re-Linking

A workshop service for owners of vintage steel bracelets that have stretched, lost pins, or developed visible sag. The technician fully disassembles the bracelet, ultrasonically cleans each link, replaces worn pins and tubes with appropriate components, addresses clasp issues, and reassembles. Where individual links are beyond rescue, donor links sourced from matching reference pieces may be discussed with the owner. The aim is to return the bracelet to comfortable daily wear without changing its character.

  • Worn pin and tube replacement
