Each visit is a single-focus appointment. We work on one piece at a time and keep the owner informed throughout.

Pre-Travel Watch Check

A brief bench appointment before a long trip. The technician inspects the crown and pushers, checks the strap pins, runs a timing trace, and performs a quiet exterior clean. Comes with a written recommendation note.

Vintage Movement Assessment

A thorough examination for mid-twentieth-century mechanical movements. The technician opens the case, photographs the movement, identifies the caliber, notes any non-original parts, and prepares a written summary the owner keeps.

Heritage Bracelet Re-Linking

Workshop service for vintage steel bracelets that have stretched, lost pins, or developed sag. Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning of each link, pin and tube replacement, clasp correction, and careful reassembly.

One Technician, One Watch

Your piece is handled by a single technician from start to finish. No handoffs, no shared benches.

Written Summaries

Every assessment produces a written document. You leave with a record of what was found and what was done.

Honest Condition Reporting

If further work is inadvisable, we say so plainly. Preservation is sometimes the right answer, and we discuss that too.

Vintage Familiarity

We work with mid-twentieth-century calibers regularly. Parts knowledge and historical reference are part of each assessment.

Character Preserved

On bracelets, we aim to return the piece to comfortable wear without altering what makes it distinctive. Donor links are discussed openly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

All visits are by appointment. This allows us to give each piece proper time without interruption. You can book through the contact form on this page or call us directly.

How long does a Pre-Travel Check take?

Most Pre-Travel Checks are completed within a single sitting of about 45 to 60 minutes. We ask that you plan to stay at the workshop while it is done, as it is a hands-on bench appointment rather than a drop-off service.

What happens after a Vintage Movement Assessment?

You receive a written summary of the movement's condition, the caliber identification, notes on any non-original parts, and options for the path forward. The summary is yours to keep. There is no obligation to proceed with further work at Bezel Crown.

What if donor links are needed for my bracelet?

If individual links cannot be restored, we will discuss donor link sourcing with you before any work proceeds. We source from matching reference pieces where possible, and the decision is always yours to make.

Do you service quartz or modern watches?

Our three services are focused on mechanical movements and vintage steel bracelets. We do not service modern quartz pieces or battery-operated watches at this time. If you are unsure whether your watch falls within scope, please contact us and we will be straightforward about whether we can help.

Are prices fixed, or are there additional charges?

The listed prices cover the scope described for each service. If during a visit we discover something outside that scope, we will discuss it with you before any additional work or cost is agreed upon. Nothing is done without your knowledge.
